The schedule of Astronomy-related courses taught recently by the Physics Department at UMBC. Also given is a provisional schedule for courses to be taught in the near future.

Note that PHYS304 is a prequiste for the undergraduate Astronomy Minor. The Listings for future courses shown in italics are provisional. [Also note that there are ** additional prereqs for PHYS425]

The course requirements for the Astronomy Minor were different prior to the 2010 Spg semester. Prior to the 2009 Fall semester PHYS405 & PHYS416 had slightly different course descriptions and designations (PHYS305 & PHYS316 respectively). A listing of courses taught prior to these changes is also available (but of merely for the historical record).
