Undergraduate Astronomy & Astrophysics at UMBC
|
Over the past decade the UMBC Physics Department has been offering a growing
number of astronomy-related courses at variety of levels.
Undergraduate courses range from 100-level ("GRE-qualifying") classes for
non-science majors, to 300/400-level courses
some of which can be taken as a single elective, or combined
to form an Astronomy Minor.
Graduate students planning a career in Astronomy/Astrophysics are required to
take our two graduate-level courses, and strongly encouraged to take any
400-level courses required to fill in gaps in their knowledge.
See also the brief outlines of astronomy-related courses.
