Drs. George, Turner, Nandra & Yaqoob all met while at the University of Leicester in the late 1980s studying for PhDs in X-ray Astronomy. By the mid 1990s we all found ourselves working in the X-ray branch of the the LHEA at NASA/GSFC with Dr. Richard Mushotzky. Sharing similar research interests, since then we have worked on the analysis & interpretation of data from all the major X-ray instruments (in collaboration with many other scientists world-wide).

In 2002, Dr. Nandra left the LHEA and moved to Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine in London (UK).

In 2003, Dr. James Reeves joined the LHEA from the University of Leicester.
